About Peak Haus

A Colorado-native standard for windows and doors.

Peak Haus was founded on a simple conviction: Colorado homes deserve window and door work that matches the architecture, the climate, and the investment.

We are deliberately small, deliberately specialized, and deliberately uncompromising. Every project is led by Michael Smith and installed by an in-house crew trained to his exact specifications.

Interior of a luxury Colorado mountain home with floor-to-ceiling windows
Michael Smith, founder of Peak Haus

Founder · Michael Smith

Twenty years of Colorado craft.

Michael grew up in Colorado and has spent the last two decades on jobsites from Denver to Steamboat — framing, finishing, and eventually specializing in the most exacting trade in the build: the envelope.

After years of watching premium products installed by indifferent crews, he founded Peak Haus to close the gap between the spec sheet and the finished window.

He still measures every job himself.

"A window is a system. If any one part of it — the flashing, the shim, the sealant, the reveal — is off, the whole system fails. Our job is to get every part right, every time."
— Michael Smith

Built for Colorado

The envelope is the building.

Colorado homes face conditions most window companies were never trained for: intense high-altitude UV, snow loads, sustained Front Range wind, freeze-thaw cycles, and 60° daily temperature swings.

We design, specify, and install every system around those realities — not around catalog defaults. The result is a home that performs as well in February as it does in July.

Bring us your project.

Whether you're replacing one window or building from the ground up, we'd be glad to walk the site with you.
